Wasn’t quite sure what to expect, but the author did a good job of balancing tension, action, romance, angst, confusion (for the characters!), and humor.
Although there were some minor (very minor) errors and a couple mistakes about landmarks in London (and every author and editor is going to miss a thing or two along the way – we’re not perfect…. though we sell ourselves that way 😉 don’t we?), it was probably just occupational hazard that I even noticed in the first place.
I would recommend this to anyone who has a list of read or to-read books similar to mine. Hell, read it anyway and give yourself an escape. If you’re someone who doesn’t read much in the way of supernatural books, consider it a beach read or fluff. For those of you who like books about those with extra abilities (maybe you’re an XMen fan), then check this one out and give it a chance.
I know I’m waiting for the next book in the series!
